The terms 'eBook' and 'digital product' refer to any digital information product. It could be a book in digital form, like a PDF or a simulated book with animated pages. It could be a collection of software or programs that provide a service. What they all have in common is the delivery of useful information or services.

All eBooks are NOT created equal. The quality and usefullness varies widely, from fantastically valuable, to worthless trash. The goal of this Helioza project is to help you find the worthy products while avoiding the trash and scams.

Some of the evaluations are objective and some are a matter of opinion. Facts and opinion are clearly identifiable in Helioza reviews. To make the investigation more interesting, and hopefully more useful, visitor comments are included. These comments are open to all visitors, which makes the collection interactive. At the same time, the opinions expressed belong only to the individual authors, who might choose to remain anonymous, or otherwise hide their identities. So take them for what they are worth.

Our reviews come in two flavors or levels: Category and Site. A category review is the broadest. It is used to describe a large group of products that have many common characteristics. It is normally reserved for products that are heavily hyped and have very little value. Products covered by a category review often do not have complete web sites. All you will find is a single, very long sales page filled with hype and emotional appeals. There might be a few pages buried in the fine print that contain legal statements designed to shield the owners from prosecution. This is a clue that there might be some issues with the product.

The site review is a more in-depth review based on the product web site. We examine the site in detail and report on what we find. Our criteria for evaluation include the Uniform Commercial Code, site navigation, contact information and product descriptions. We look for complete and accurate information for the products, the company, and the owners. Sites operated with honesty and integrity will receive positive reviews. Sites filled with hype, limited to misleading sales pitches and loaded with vague promises of wealth earn strongly negative reviews.

With more than 8,000 products in the Helioza database, obviously not every site will receive an individual review. But give us time. The best and the worst will get this attention first. Eventually, all the sites will be reviewed.

Our Principles

Truth sells. At Helioza, it is our contention that the best way to sell products and build customer loyalty is by developing trust. Truth and honesty are foundations of trust. Complete and accurate information builds on that foundation. Deceit and misinformation will erode it all.

We do sell these products, and we do want you to buy from us. We just want you to be satisfied. As odd as it might sound to some, we are not motivated solely by money. Our goal is to steer you toward the best and most useful products, while posting stern warnings about the trash and scams you will certainly encounter. It is in our interest to inform and educate you before you make a final buying decision. That's the right way to run a business, and we want to see more people running business right.
